Kevin Nickelberry's stint as an assistant at DePaul didn't last long.
Nickelberry, who was hired by new DePaul coach Oliver Purnell last week, was offered the Howard University head coaching job over the weekend and has accepted, according to a source close to the situation.
Nickelberry was the head coach at Hampton from 2006-09 and was 50-44 before resigning and spending last year as the head coach of the Libya National Team.
Nickelberry was also an assistant under Purnell at Clemson from 2003-06, an assistant at Charlotte from 2001-03 and the associate head coach at Holy Cross for two seasons.

Jeff,
godemonsAny thoughts on some possible candidates for the final spot on the staff? Who would be a good fit? I was thinking maybe Dennis Gates.
