Multiple sources have told FOXSports.com that Green Bay will hire assistant Brian Wardle to replace Tod Kowalczyk.
Wardle, 30, played at Marquette and spent two years there as the director of basketball operations before going to UWGB, where he has been on the staff for the past five seasons.
Wardle was chosen from a group that included Wisconsin associate head coach Greg Gard, Missouri State assistant Jon Harris and St. Norbert coach Gary Grzesk. Saint Louis assistant Porter Moser pulled out earlier in the week.
Kowalczyk left to take the head coaching job at Toledo on March 30 after spending the past eight years as the head coach.
