Hartford wasted little time finding a replacement for Dan Leibovitz as the Hawks, according to multiple sources, are expected to hire former assistant John Gallagher.
Gallagher has been at Penn for the last two seasons and was just brought on by new Boston College coach Steve Donahue.
However, after Dan Leibovitz resigned earlier this week to become the top assistant at Penn, Gallagher – who spent two years at Hartford under Leibovitz – became the top candidate.
Hartford won a school-record 18 games when Gallagher was on the staff during the 2007-08 season.
He was also an assistant at La Salle and at Lafayette.
