Hartford head coach Dan Leibovitz has resigned to become the top assistant at Penn.
ESPN.com first reported the story.
Leibovitz, 36, won 18 games in his second season after taking over the program in 2006 but won just 15 combined in the last two seasons.
Leibovitz graduated from Penn in 1996 and then worked for a decade on John Chaney's staff at Temple.
He had four years left on his current deal.
