UC Irvine coach Pat Douglass has been let go.
Douglass has a 197-191 career mark in his 13-year tenure. The Anteaters were 14-18 this season and lost to Cal Poly in the first round of the Big West tournament.
"I believe this decision is in the best interest of the University," UC Irvine AD Mike Izzi said in a statement. "It allows us to move the men's basketball program in a new direction with the goal of annually being in the upper tier of the Big West Conference as well as competing in the NCAA tournament."
