    NOTRE DAME'S KEARNEY HIRED AT HOLY CROSS

    Holy Cross has hired Notre Dame associate head coach Sean Kearney. 

    According to sources, Holy Cross athletic director **** Regan informed     Kearney on Thursday morning. Pittsburgh associate Tom Herrion and Holy Cross alum Rod Baker were the other finalists. 

    A news conference is expected on Friday. 

    Kearney, 49, has spent the past nine years as the associate head coach at Notre Dame under Mike Brey. Kearney has ties to Holy Cross; his father spent his freshman season at the school before serving military duty.

    Kearney replaces Ralph Willard – who resigned to join his best friend, Rick Pitino, on the Louisville staff.

    good job....no pun intended..but arent these coaches always looking to add to their jobs list??? except in a head coaches position..

    now?? begins the task to build a new?? program yes a new program under him...

    yes like it or not anytime you get a new coach in any sport?? changes....
