It appears as though Xavier Henry is headed to Memphis.
Both Rivals.com and the Lawrence Journal-World have reported that Carl Henry,
the father of both Xavier and Memphis walk-on guard C.J. Henry, has said he'd
prefer both of his sons to play at Kansas.
Xavier is arguably the top wing in next year's incoming class and many
predicted he'd follow John Calipari to Kentucky.
However, that appears unlikely at this point.
Bill Self would be the beneficiary of a coaching change for the second
consecutive season. A year ago, he was able to get guard Tyshawn Taylor after
Tom Crean left Marquette for Indiana.
If Xavier Henry goes to Kansas and Sherron Collins and Cole Aldrich both
return, the Jayhawks would certainly be in position to challenge for the Final
Four next season.
Now the question is what happens to former Memphis commit DeMarcus Cousins, one
of the most talented big man in the country - and uncommitted point guard John
Wall - who had maintained that Memphis was his leader prior to Calipari's
decision to leave for Kentucky.
