I have nothing against Tony Jones.
In fact, The Tennessee assistant coach has been a key cog in Tennessee's terrific rebuilding job since Vols head coach Bruce Pearl arrived in Knoxville.
However, Jones interviewed at Boston University on Thursday.
This has Dan Parker & Associates written all over it.
Remember, Parker was the guy who brought Billy Gillispie to Kentucky and Kelvin Sampson to Indiana.
He's also the guy who got a $75K paycheck to handle the BU search.
Again, Jones is a quality assistant coach. But the only New England ties he has are the fact that his head coach, Pearl, grew up in Sharon, Mass., and went to Boston College.
Jones' resume includes four years at Tennessee, four at Wisconsin-Milwaukee, five at Toledo and three at Buffalo.
Oh yeah, and he's from Detroit.
