    THE LONGEST GAME?

    Sunday, October 5, 2008, 07:20 PM [General]

I'm sitting here watching what could turn out to be one of the longest postseason games in baseball history.

The Red Sox and Angels are tied at 4-4 after six innings and the game is nearly three hours old.

Anyway, what I'm basically hinting at is that an early morning blog tomorrow is highly unlikely.

I made the trip to St. Mark's prior to coming to Fenway Park tonight and while the gym wasn't quite as loaded with college coaches as it was a year ago prior to Erik Murphy committing to Florida, Nate Lubick certainly drew plenty of star power.

Michigan coach John Beilein brought assistants John Mahoney and Mike Jackson to Southborough, Mass. Georgetown's John Thompson III and assistant Kenya Hunter made the trip - as did Stanford head coach Johnny Dawkins and Virginia assistant Steve Seymour.

Other head coaches in the gym to watch Lubick's teammates include Keno Davis, Tom Moore and Ed Cooley.
