WALKER REPORTEDLY SUFFERS PARTIAL TEAR IN MENISCUS

    Monday, June 16, 2008, 06:39 AM [General]

Kansas State coach Frank Martin didn't find out that Bill Walker injured his knee until Sunday night.

Walker, according to Draft Express, suffered a partial tear in his meniscus and will be out for at least three weeks.

While Draft Express also reported that there is no structural damage to the knee, NBA teams will certainly have concerns due to Walker's history - which includes a pair of torn ACL's.

Walker was injured participating in a mass workout at the Golden State Warriors facility in which more than 20 players showcased themselves in front of more than 15 NBA teams.

Walker, who passed on the opportunity to play in the Orlando Pre-Draft Camp, has only had a couple of workouts for individual teams.

Remember, a year ago Kansas' Brandon Rush was basically forced to return to school after suffering a torn ACL in a pick-up game. The same may wind up happening with Walker.
