Smart move by John Riek.

The 7-foot-2 Sudan native will withdraw from the NBA Draft, according to his advisor Fatah Muraisi.

``John had some offers, but felt as though it was in his best interest to get healthy before he goes into the draft," Muraisi told FOXSports.com.

Muraisi told FOXSports.com that the paperwork has been sent to the NBA and Riek, who spent much of this past season at the Winchendon School in Massachusetts, will attend IMG Academy next year.

Riek was the buzz at the LeBron James Camp a little less than a year ago, but he hasn't been the same since. Knee problems have plagued Riek at Winchendon and also forced him to miss the entire Orlando Pre-Draft Camp.

It's also not out of the question that a tug-of-war between his former school, Our Savior New American, and the likes of Muraisi and those in his camp took its toll on Riek.
