Vernon Macklin is headed to Florida.

It didn't work out for the former McDonald's All-American at Georgetown - and it wasn't going to get any better with the arrival of Greg Monroe next season.

Macklin's former prep school coach, Kevin Keatts, confirmed to FOXSports.com that Macklin committed to Billy Donovan on a visit to Gainesville this weekend.
