Eli Holman had a reputation coming out of high school.

Talented, but crazy.

Holman was suspended for a year after shoving a referee back at Richmond High (Calif.) and also grazed by a bullet in a drive-by shooting.

Well, the Indiana freshman big man lived up to it on Thursday, throwing a tantrum that forced new Hoosiers coach Tom Crean to call the campus police.

Holman came into the office with the intention to transfer.

"His behavior took me, along with the other people in the office, by surprise," Crean said in a statement released by the university. "We saw him as a danger to himself and wanted to take precautionary measures to help him. We felt bad for Eli and, hopefully, were able to help him."

Holman reportedly threw a potted plant, but was not arrested.

Holman barely played this past season and was eventually redshirted with a wrist injury, but with the thin roster that Crean inherited, he may have been thrust into extensive minutes as a sophomore.
