Kansas may have found its replacement for Mario Chalmers -
whether he leaves this year or next.
The Jayhawks got a commitment from St. Anthony's (N.J.) guard Tyshawn Taylor
this morning, according to Adam Zagoria of the Herald News in New Jersey.
"I think the visit was pretty much the deciding factor," Taylor told Zagoria, who has one of the best college
basketball blogs in the country - http://njmg.typepad.com/zagsblog/. "The
atmosphere as far as basketball was unbelievable. It was beautiful there. The
campus was beautiful. The players are cool. Coach Self is a great coach. It was
just unbelievable."
Taylor helped lead St. Anthony to a 32-0 mark this past
season and got out of his letter-of-intent with Marquette after Tom Crean left for Indiana. Ultimately, Taylor chose Kansas over Georgia Tech.
