Tyler Hansbrough's little 'bro, Ben, has opted to transfer to Notre Dame.

According to a source close to the situation, Hansbrough made the decision and informed Fighting Irish head coach Mike Brey on Monday night.

The 6-foot-3 guard spent the last two seasons at Mississippi State and will have two years left after sitting out this season.

He averaged 10.5 points last season and should challenge for a starting spot when he becomes eligible - because Kyle McAlarney will be graduating.
