Providence sports information director Arthur Parks just told us that he hasn't been informed of anything official regarding a new coach yet, but one source told FOXSports.com that Drake coach Keno Davis is in negotiations and is "close" to an agreement that would make him the Friars new head coach.

An announcement could come as early as this afternoon.
