I am not one to defend these announcers, but the question was what American League team has the second most World Series wins. I know this to be becasue I knew the answer and said I wonder how many of those 9 were in Oakland.
Tonight Fox Sports mentioned the New York Yankees were the winning-est MLB team with 26 wins. What team has the second most wins?
Fox Sports mentioned that the Oakland Athletics were 2nd with 9 wins. While the Athletics did have 9 wins the true winner is St Louis with 10 wins.
