Very cool, I'm in the process of rebuilding a 68 camero from the ground up, wish I had the factory equipment and tools to do the job. Cool how hightech the factory's are, makes you wonder how they lose money.

I watched a program on NGC that was about the GM plant in Bowling Green where they make the Corvette Z06, I was totally impressed. The body material and drive train must be a third of the cost, Looked like a very sweet ride!

The Camaro is actually built on a version of the same platform as my G8. Very good platform. A bit on the heavy side, but that's the price you pay for rigidity unless you want to go really expensive with material costs.

I despise the styling on the Ford truck right now. Hopefully they'll get better before I have to buy. I prefer the styling of the GMC's and their engines across the boards. But, who know how long GM is going to last at this rate.
Actually, the only Ford that I like the styling on lately is the Mustang. They need to get away from the "Tonka Truck" styling theme and the "Gillette Mach 3 razor" styling for their grills.
Too bad they won't make the G8 for Chevy now that Pontiac is done. Well, they are, but it's going to be for police sales/use only.

I hear you. Ford trucks are hard to beat. That is all I ever owned until I bought a 2003 Z71 Chevy from my son. Got totaled when I was hit head on 13 mos ago. Ripped wheels off, broke the motor from the vehicle and totally destroyed the truck but held integirty and I survived. The new cross-over Chevy Equinox and Ford Escape seem like great vehicles. Not that I am in the market for one but if I was would go that route. Chevy seems to be making some nice 4 door sedans now that I would consider but 2006 Acura TL will last a long time. Not one to get rid of cars to get a new one. I look at labels on everything to not buy Chinese or foreign if possible, but cannot avoid it at times. Refuse to buy Chinese for sure. Buy stuff from Mexico, Canada and Central/South America except Venezuela. F Venezuela. Get stuff from Sri Lanka and such but buy American if at allpossible. Winter groceries come from who knows, but.....

Yeah, the trucks are another thing they say they're going to keep around. They'd be dumb not to. My first car was a '75 Chevy Impala. It was a hand-me-down and I beat it appropriately.LOL I never did completely kill it though. All I've owned are GM's and Dodges. Current rides are a 2008 Pontiac G8 GT (last of an era) and a 2004 Dodge Dakota. I'll probably go Ford when/if I have to replace one of them.

That is what I have seen posted; but then again, posters post Kyle is a "racing god" and I do not believe that. Not sure how long you been around but my first car was a 57 Chevy so lived through the "muscle car" era and it sure pains me to see what has happenedto our automotive industry. Guilty since I own an Acura but have a ford truck and explorer, but I guess the Olds, Packard, etal have vanished and life goes on. Hope they keep the Dodge truck around; like the looks but still buy fords and chevy trucks.
