I think you could make a case for Childress In Minnesota also. I believe the best thing that could happen for him was that Favre decided to stay retired. That was pushing All-In on a high risk gamble.
yeah that pisko112 idiot is at full speed with his dangerous hyper-link posts today. He's also posting his malicious BS under the names of vohnexe bagsanu Sewrydu nyhfani Gum espektropatronus
among others. I quit notifying FOX when they quit reacting to my flags. I guess they really don't care. I'd advise people to not click on his links, unless you have a very good anti virus program.

There's a few coaches starting the season on the hot seat. In no particular order:
1) Snyder couldn't find any takers for the HC job in DC after he hired Zorn, a QB coach, to be the Offensive Coordinator of the next HC. Snyder has a penchant for throwing QB's and coaches under the Bus. Shanahan has already been linked to the Redskins.
2) Wade Phillips is in Dallas for monetary reasons. Jason Garrett is due $3 million a year for the next 2 seasons. Phillips is due $3 million for '09. It would have cost $9 million to fire them. It cost less to fire T.O., the cry-baby aging drama queen and let these guys hang around another year for a chance at redemption.
3) Dick Jauron in Buffalo was the toast of the league after a strong start last season. Like the Redskins, Bills tanked in the 2nd half of the season. The 1-7 finish, and 3 consecutive seasons finishing with a 7-9 record means Jauron could be gone if the T.O. experiment goes awry.
4) Marvin Lewis has had only one above .500 season in 6 years. And during that time he's allowed the team to spiral from grace with the fan base. The inmates have been running the asylum for several years in Cincy.

I hope not, but if the Redskins fall and Zorn is out, I see Snyder doing whatever it takes to get Bill Cowher! I think he'll be ready to come back in '10.

I don't think of him as a retread coach. Being that he was in Denver for such a long time. My only problem with Jerry Jones and Dan Snyder for that fact is. Will they let him coach and not mental in the daily operation. I heard Snyder in an interview say that he meets with Zorn every day. Being the owner and that is one of his biggest investments. I can see that. But you wonder when Snyder puts in his input and how it effects the team.

Wrinkels, I'm suprised Jerry Jones didn't grab Shanahan when he had the chance, I know he likes him and I believe he has some ties to Romo also.

Shannahan said he will be coaching in 2010. So should start the rumor mill now or wait till mid season?
