Gamer, it sounds like Indiana would be the place for you.  I grew up in a very small town, 300 kids in my graduating class, everyone knows who everyone is.  It is nice because I don't have to worry about crime or anything like that.  My son is five, so it is nice to know that he won't ever have to worry about gangs.  As far as parting goes, I'm 28 years old, so my days of hanging out all night are pretty much done.

I grew up on the bayou... so I have known how to bait a hook and shoot a gun since I was a little girl, but I do not hunt. I do not eat any of the stuff I would kill so I refuse to kill it.

I am also not a big party girl. Been there, done that. I rather hang out with a few great friends instead. So it sounds like a great place. I love a small town where everyone knows everyone.

Your not missing too much, besides cities like Bloomington, it is a pretty boring state.  Although, if you like hunting and fishing it is nice, but if you want to go out and party you would have to go to one of the bigger towns or cities.  Most small towns, like the one I live in, the only people in the bars are the local drunks.

It just doesn't happen there, come on up to Indiana.  It seems to be home of the mullet and everything else the 80's inspired.

Gamer, between the bowl style haircuts and those converse shoes, those were two things I hope never come back.  Although, some people are still walking around sporting a mullet and jamming out to White snake.  If you ever get a chance to go to a bar in the country, I can guarantee you there will be somebody in the bar that has that haircut and plays that bands music constantly.
