Hard to predict how anyone would do at Turnberry this year, but with Tiger we have come to expect that his mental toughness could always power his incredible talent to victory.  He has never played Turnberry before, but when has that ever stopped him from mastering the course before.  Ironically the fact that he never paled there before may just work to his advantage since there have been so many changes made to the course.

The British Open is always very tricky, and the seaside wind is forever a concern.  In fact the weather has always played a role in determining the winner of the British Open.  The fact that it can change on a dime always adds intrigue to the tournament.  Tiger did not handle the the bad weather at Bethpage very well during the US Open last month.  Whether or not that signifies a trend is anyone's guess but my bet is that he is not losing sleep over that.

He is coming off a victory at Congressional but I don't think he is very happy with how he played on the last two days.  Turnberry will be very interesting to say the least.  I am anxious to see how everyone would drive the new 10th with that 200 yard carry over the bay. The 16th should also be interesting with the new dogleg around those new dunes and hollows.

The fact that he has not won a major this year, I am sure, makes him hungrier, especially since this is the penultimate major this year.  My bet is that he would be at his feline best and will pull this one off by virtue of his superior talent aided by his amazing strength of will.  Look out guys, a tiger is on the prowl and he is looking for fresh meat.

I look for him to win this one by two or more shots, but it wouldn't be easy.
