Just for fun......or not?!:p Alright, here is the question and the rules to the question. First, I fully understand that this question has been asked a million times in a million different ways, but this is how I will put my own spin on it. If you were an MMA promoter, and you could build a fight card for the ages totaling 10 five round fights plus one bonus fight, what would your card look like?
Here are the rules... 1..You have to use currently active fighters. 2...(Try to keep same weight class if you can) If not, you can only move a fighter up or down one weight class. (no B.J. Penn vs Tim Sylvia) 3...You have to have at least one fight in each of the these weight classes. Weight classes: (a mix of WEC and UFC weights) Bantamweight - 125 lbs. to 135 lbs. Featherweight - over 135 lbs. to 145 lbs. Lightweight - over 145 lbs. to 155 lbs. Welterweight - over 155 lbs. to 170 lbs. Middleweight - over 170 lbs. to 185 lbs. Light Heavyweight - over 185 lbs. to 205 lbs. Heavyweight - over 205 lbs. to 265 lbs.
4....Fighters can be from any MMA league in the world, including boxing. (this is not confined to just the UFC) (I add boxing not as a requirement, but just to make it interesting. I know the purist in some of you will not appreciate that and I do fully understand)
5.....Bonus fight is simply a throwback to the days of no rules fighting. Take any current fighter in the world (weight classes do not apply for this fight) and put them in a no time limit fight with no rules and let them go at it.
So there you go! You are now the next Dana White. You have 11 fights to put together for Pay Per View, who will it be that Big John will be reffing in the Octagon for you tonight?
