Why was Mark Ingram on the bench with the game on the line? A game that has NC implications. Was he injured that badly? It worked out, but wow! Can you imagine Colt McCoy on the bench with the game on the line? If he was not injured, a Heisman trophy canidate should be on the field in cruch time. Don't care who they are playing or what the stategy is. If he is that good, he should be out there.

8 team playoff 1st round (quarterfinals) is four games and simply uses the current major bowls (rose, orange, cotton, fiesta) 2nd round (semifinals) 2 games, 4 teams final round (championship game) 1 game 2 teams
Under this system, only 4 teams would play any additional games beyond the current system. 2 teams would play 1 additional game and 2 would play 2 additional games. I can't see why you would need to shorten the regular season to accomodate only 4 teams. All the other bowls could still continue and would be no more meaningless under this system than they are now and would still allow good conference match-ups and an opportunity for non playoff teams and their fans to travel.

I don't think USC is going to make it! They have already lost three conference games. It is possible that Florida will make it, even though I detest them... I plan to see Florida and TCU play. That would be an interesting match-up.

Overall I agree on the Playoff system myself, but what people don't realize is that means they have to shorten the regular season. At least thats what the experts are saying. There are so many shades of grey. 1st off thats the only way Boise St and TCU and even Cincinatti will have a chance to make it to #1 cuz there schedule campare to SEC is not even close cuz even unranked teams in the SEC are a force to be messed with. The sad part is Florida and Alabama are about to play for the SEC title "WHEN IT SHOULD BE FOR THE NATIONAL TITLE" They are hands down the 2 best teams but they are playing in Dec instead of Jan. Anyways playoffs would be nice but computers dont really lie to often. 1 example is when Auburn had a perfect season back in 02 and they got jipped out of the race cuz politics wanted USC and Texas to play, Im a gator fan and I hate Auburn but I admit they could of went all the way. Timne will tell my friends time will tell. "IF UR NOT A GATOR YOUR A HATOR"

I AGREE THE BCS SYSTEM SUCKS, WE SHOULD ALL GO TO A PLAYOFF SYSTEM WHERE THE TOP 10 BATTLE IT OUT ON THE FIELD NOT ON A COMPUTER, HAPPY MY BUCKEYES MADE THE ROSE BOWL,O-H-I-O
