Everybody has their own method.  After I get my starters, I usually go for "best Available" according to my draft board

I'm kinda curious on everyone's draft strategies...here's mine:

Picks 1-5:

If I pick early in the draft, I go RB, WR, WR, RB, QB (the last two are interchangeable depending on if there's still an elite QB left) for my top 5. If I pick towards the end of the draft its WR, WR, RB, RB, QB (last two interchangeable again).

Picks 6-10:

With the 6th pick, I usually try to get an elite TE since they're few and far between. The 7th through 10th pick I'll pick up best available RBs and WRs and a backup QB.

Picks 11-15:
With the 11th-13th pick I'll get backups for my first rounders or pick up key backups for other teams just to piss them off (or use as trade bait later). 14th and 15th pick I'll get my kicker and defense.

Here's a few rules I go by:

1. No RB 30 or over. I don't care if LT is sitting there staring me in the face, but typically once a RB hits 30, his production drops immensely.

2. I try to grab at least one elite WR, two if its a PPR league. There are so few elite WRs in the league, if you grab more than one, you're set.

3. Don't count on a sleeper TE. A TE can make you or break you. I've been playing with the same guys for 5 years now and I've won twice. Both times I've won, I've had elite TEs. The times I've lost, I've counted on a sleeper TE (*cough* Vernon Davis two years in a row *cough*).

4. If you don't get one of the top 3 defenses, which people usually take way too early, drop/add based on matchups. You can have the crappiest defense, but if they're playing someone with a weak offense, they could be a stud.

5. Don't draft a kicker until the last two rounds and draft a dome or warm weather kicker. Even though the Patriots kicker is the top rated kicker, think about what the weather is going to be like in New England during your playoffs. When your kicker kicks half the time in a dome or in warm weather, you'll be sure of consistent kicking during the playoffs.
