Now the real Michigan appears

What really has me worried are that the best players on the team are all Lloyd Carr recruits, not Rich Rodriguez recruits. Brandon Minor, Carlos Brown, Brandon Graham, Greg Matthews. Players like Forcier and Koger and others have shown promise but I can't think Rich Rod can stay if he doesn't make a bowl game this year or next year or manages to beat Ohio State.

The problem with this offense is too many plays start yards behind the line of scrimmage. When they work they gain like 8 yards, but when they do not you lose about 6 and put a freshman quarterback in a tough spot.

Real fans weather storms! I think they can beat them all. They had that 1-6 team beat. If roundtree scores that would ve been 20-7. Do you think they would ve lost then? It's the small things. They will get better. Don t be one of those fair weather fans. Go BLUE! Michigan Wolverines! Too much pride and history to quit!

Hey CFLFAN, you might want to look at the remaining schedule.

Exactly who do you think the Michigan meerkats are going to play better against?  They just got smoked by a 1-6 team.

Myself, im flat embarrassed to be a Michigan fan under Rodriguez.  This guy has set losing marks not seen for 40 plus years!

I dont do drug, but i am a u of m fan which i cant say the same for several of you guys. But i will admit when im wrong. They are a poorly coached, poorly executed team. If minor can play (ANY)then why isnt he running four times at the goal line? Defense is horried and izeh wasnt the problem. They have no guts anymore. You could count on one hand that u of m got smacked in the mouth pre RR era in 10 yrs! I will root to the very end though like a TRUE fan should. They can and will play better. GO BLUE!

40 minutes later!

Michigan looks more like meerkats then wolverines!  Illinois-31 Michigan-13

Exactly how low can this michigan team go?

Sad times at Michigan!

Update: Illinois game.

Michigan cant score from the 1 yard line in 4 tries!

Next series, Illinois starts from the 1/2 yard line, and scores a touchdown on a long run 5 or so plays later!

Now, if Michigan cant contain a team like Illinois, what are they going to do against a ranked team?

Embarrasing series to say the least for the offense, and then the defense!

Michigan played bad! But they will win some games. They need to stop switching QB's! Tate is the guy! They need to focus on the run with rb's. Minor shouldve carried that ball at least 20 times. They started out throwing to the wideouts. Need to continue doing that. Robinson was completely outcoached on d and RR was out coached on o. I believe Penn st. was a better team, but they had a better gameplan. No excuse for turnovers. GOT TO PROTECT the ball. not buying this wont go to a bowl thing. all loses came to good teams. They need to make a few adjustments and they will be fine. I still say they can compete with every  team left on the sched!

Seems i called this record to this point 3 games ago.  Penn State showed the weak michigan defense, especially the pass defense.   Big 10 gone, slowly working their way to another non-postseason appearance.

I repeat, sad times at Michigan!  By the way, i can probably pick the rest of the season for yall, if you want to know in advance.

Its no secret they needed come from behind drives to beat two sub
par teams.  And the other 2 were no competition.

Now, Michigan has lost to a rival(M.State), and has Iowa and Penn State in next 3 games.

After they play these 3 games, they will be 5-3, saying they beat De. State.

Michigan has a poor defense,a defense i havent seen this bad ever at Michigan! and the offense needs time to mature.

Under Rodriguez, ive seen records broken, the wrong kind of records at Michigan, i thought i would never see.

I didnt care for his hiring, and i dont expect anything from Michigan under him.

Sad times at Michigan.

6-6 is low expectations. This team shows it will compete.  Every game we play the rest of the season is winnable! I agree schemes have to get better on defense but ROBINSON( not williams) is a good coach. He has made some bad calls(alot of slants away from the run). I think that comes with learning your personals strengths and weaknesses. You should see some strong improvement over the next 5 games. I agree that RR does too much yelling at forcier during mistakes, but He can adjust that! I agree that keeping robinson in during the last drive was a bad idea,BUT forcier had a concussion so it was necessary! This weeks game gave them time to heal. They should be full strength against penn st. I believe this can be a big victory. Need to get WR's involved in the offense and STOP running QB's so much! I said 8-4 at the beginning of the season, but now im predicting 9-3 (and a bowl win would be 10-3). i think some dislike RR so you dont actually want the team you love to win! They ve shown us fans that they will play and compete to the END. START BELIEVING! B. Minor and C Brown and G Mathews need to play REAL big down the stretch! They r SRS. I expect them to do more!
