Spags was our biggest loss & I think JR thought with the talent on D & a in house promote we would be fine which now appears to be his 1st screw up being its very hard to replace a great mind like Spags.
As for the other guys...
Toomer was clutch on catches & most likely still is, but he lost his speed & separation. He couldn't even make KC roster & no other team has showed intrest,so that right there says its time to hang up the cleats.
Ward is getting up there in age & had some injury issues so we passed on a resign & moved forward with youth.AB is filling in solid as a #2 like i said he would, but lately it seems the team is falling in love with our WRS speed & getting away from our game of running the ball. Its really getting to me cause the last few games we did very well at running & they got pass happy.
Burress was one of my fav players on the team & i'm still a Plax fan even after the way things ended. Now the loss of him was outta our control & is not major, but hurts. He didnt do to well last yr once he got his new contract & he was never that speedy getting great separation WR,but came up big on making key catches & drawing 2-3 players to cover him leaving others open.He also was a good blocker.
IMO what has really hurt us this yr was having a crappy OC & i'm kinda giving Sheridan a pass being its his 1st yr,but it hanging on a thread.TC is way to conservative & needs to get more of a killer instinct mentality leaving some of his oldschool in the past.
LB Our only game changing LB's are Boley guy is a stud & is always around the ball.AP is a great leader getting ppl in the right position for plays & spends alot of time in the film room getting ready for games which kinda makes up for him being slow, but its a must to groom a MLB now for our future.Sintim is good, but our coaches have a real problem going with experience letting the vets play when its clear there not getting it done.
S when KP was placed on IR it was a major loss & teams have taking advantage of it & tourched Brown showing why the Texans let him walk & thankfully only got a 1 yr deal here & is gone next yr.
Season is far from over & now we are expecting to get Ross & Canty back after the bye & hopefully we can now right this ship.

I'm just agreeing with ya on instinct alone LU. Did you actually read that shouter cap lock tirade? Where does a damn Bolt Nut find a CAPLOCK RAIDER FAN KEYBOARD? lol
And I gotta agree with Clay on this one. You can't lose that many star "Go To" guys, and Steve Spagnuolo, and call yourself improved. You know you thumped your chest on these boards when NY gave stuck on stupid moolah to Chris Canty. That's proving to have a Dan Snyder effect.
"Coach, I'm too sick to practice, and I'm too hurt to play. Where's my check?"

Don't get me wrong, I love the guy as a Cowboy and a person. But Igor Olshansky signed for 4 years, 18 million dollars. A monster run stuffer that left San Diego to come to his mentor, Wade Phillips, at less than half the price of Canty.
How 'Bout Them Cowboys!

You guys lost one of the best WR's in the league(Plax). You also lost a good veteran WR(Tomer). You lost a 1,000 yard producer(Ward). And most importantly you lost one of the best D coordinators in the game.
I told you before the season that was gonna hurt. Giants are still a good, tough team. But you cant possibly be the same after losing all that.
On the 7th day, God made the Dallas Cowboys.

New York Giants Dead Last in RedZone Offense & Defense.
TC's "Greenzone coaching" has us absolutely last in the NFL in both Offense and Defense.
Wow...This is really pathetic. Losing Spags was devastating, once again Giants lose a great coach.

I dont know what to say bout this loss.
NYG for the most part played well doing the things they needed to do to win this game (most of the time) such as control the clock, stoped LT pretty cold, ran the ball pretty good (again most of the time),pressure on Rivers, turnovers on D,Eli passed well, really its just a big ? mark how they let it slip away when TT comes up with a big INT taking it to the 4,then we take a hold penalty & the rest is history we kick a FG & Rivers marches down the field for the TD.WOW!
I thought we had it in the bag once TT got that INT,but i gotta make a complaint (not an excuse) that play calling in the redzone is questionable. We got 3rd & goal from the 9 & we dont try to throw the ball in for the W,but run a draw play.Pretty questionable to do that ,but if BJ makes those extra 3 yards he is a hero & no one is question any play calls.
This is gonna be a tough season NYG fans & i think this team played well by correcting alot of things they needed to.Penaltys were horrible giving up over 100 yards & played really undisciplined early on,but despite that they were in a postition to win it.That 2nd Q drive over 10 mins long Eli goes 9-9 & u start thinking here we go were back to play NYG football.
Yeah all i can hope for is this team gets it **** together & goes on a tear after the bye cause thats our only hope to even make the playoffs.5-4 were gonna need to win 5 or 6 games & i hope this team finds what it is their lacking which i thought they found in this game.It was a hard fought game & SD is a good team, but when u got it in ur hands like that just to let it slip away really sucks.
Thats bout all its a bye week & i think i need one too just as much as them, so once again congrats SD.

Jim Fassel being critcized for his team's lackluster performances in 2000 season makes the infamous poker referenced comment and makes the Super Bowl 35 in 2001. He saves his job for two more seasons then gets fired.
Tom Coughlin gets criticized for his team's lackluster performances in 2007 season and win an improbable Super Bowl 42 against undefeated Patriots. This is TC's second season after the SB.
But the sad thing is, we lost Sean Payton, John Fox, and Steve Spagnuolo to other teams during this whole process.
