Absolutely no, not even for a moment. All that the announcers talked about was what a spectacular catch it was and that Nate Wright never knew where the ball was till it was to late to react. Pearson actually said after the game that he thought for a second that he missed it... Till he found it resting on his hip under his palm.

Page's final temper tantrum effort to avoid a loss, as all teams still try to pull off, led to a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on the ensuing kickoff for his explosion at the officials. That was well, well after the play was over. Dream on.

Nate Wright never knew where the ball was. Watch the clip.

Classy fans those Vikings. It got so bad that some Viking fans in the end zone bleachers nearest the action felt entitled to take target practice with some empty liquor bottles. After Fran Tarkenton was sacked by Too Tall Jones for a 14-yard loss to the Viking 1 yard line, bursting the Vikes chance for a comeback, remember, they finally cut loose out of frustration. Class huh? I was 19 years old then.

I remember the field judge suddenly found himself an eligible receiver for one long throw afer another from the stands. As he stood at about the Minnesota 20 yard line, waving frantically for a cease-fire, a bottle of Jack Daniels smacked him on the forehead. The guy dropped as if shot. As a medical team huddled over him, bandaging the gash on his head, a substitute official hurried in to take his place for the last two plays of the game.

But don't worry. Eagles fans have since assumed the role of disgusting drunken slobs of the NFL when things don't go their way.

yeah,,it was quite painful seeing that live way back in '75,,the commentators thought the flag was on Pearson for offensive pass interference,,alot of hoopla about that play for awhile after that,,it wasn't long until everybody was speaking of the Cowboys as "americas team",,but that was a long time ago,,I was 18 years old then, but the Vikes and Cowboys have had a history together over the years even tho they are not in the same division,,most of it has gone Dallas way,,but my day will come

Classic pic pjd! The NFL's original Hail Mary!

On first down, Preston Pearson dropped a ball in the flat, stopping the clock. On second down, Staubach and Pearson made history.

... Thnx for a great pic! (Although there are better ones on the internet)
