Ditka was better than Lovie in his first 5 years because he would do what ever it took to get a win. BUt after that he became Bigger than the Bears and thats what led to his early exit. Halas forget it.He started the league and was an owner coach and player at the same time at the age of 26.So no comparison with Ditka and Lovie. But Lovie is very good so far but he has to take us to the next level or he is a gonner soon.

Impossible to compare George Halas to Ditka era or today's coaches.  Halas was an unbelievable individual but one can only surmise how he would have related to Black athletes or today's me me me athlete.  JMO
Here is to those that have gone before us and to those serving on the front lines to ensure our freedoms.

Was Mike Ditka a better coach than Lovie Smith or George Halas? Yesterday was Ditka's 70th birthday. Check out a young Mike Ditka at http://sites.google.com/site/jigsawjoy/home/Sports
