It takes three things to win in the NFL a coach, players, and luck of the football gods. The coach one has to have a system that works. SB winning coaches have a method they like. Jimmy had a fast attack D and an O that ran the ball. Cowher at 1-1 in SBs had a killer 3-4 and a running in game. Parcells felt you ran to kill the clock and had a D that played smart. Players don't have to be stars like Aikmen or Emmit Smith. Plenty of no name talent have won SBs. Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer are not house hold names but at the end of the day they got one by just playing there role. Luck of the football gods is having picks and fumbles fall your way. The Santonio Holmes catches was good luck for the steelers. The Cowboys do not have a coach and system that the players have bought into. Denver and San Fran are playing great ball because they buy into what there coaches are selling. The Dallas players are not playing there role. Romo looks like he has not taken a snap since high school. Our roster took the KC to over time. KC is a team that is a door mat. They can't run the ball and there D is being reworked. Tony Gonzalez begged for a trade to a contender to have a shot.

Remember in the 90s when the Cowboys won the superbowl, then the next year they didn't, Jerry Jones fired one of the best Coaches in NFL history(Jimmy Johnson.  Jerry Jones is a no nonsense owner.  He does it for the money.  Romo is not performing the way he should and if he don't turn around he will be out of a job next year.

I think it's pretty clear that Kolb will be the starting qb in the next year or 2 Eagletide.

Mike Vick to the Dallas Cowboys for a draft pick next year, lol. I won't put anything past the ownership of the Cowboys, it could very well be a possibility. On a side note I am curious of what fans from other teams thought of Kevin Kolb's performance if you watched him play. He seems to be a very accurate qb with a lot of confidence.

The QB WR relationship is a to part thing. If a team can not get the ball down field it is either a qb or wr problem. Right now it is a problem with both. Our WRs are bad. Only the browns have a weaker WR core. I mean to D coaches worry about Hurd, Austin or Crayton putting up big numbers. No and Roy is good but the guy will not produce 1000yds or 10TDs. This in turn hurts Romo's confidence. Lets face it all QBs have sensitive egos about getting it done. What Jason should do is instead of wanting to go for 30+ Yards a p**** lets do a west coast attack. Short p****es to WRs. Then as the game moves on take a shot. With the running game doing a solid job run first p**** second.

Here is my thoughts bout the Boys thus far...The team is not good enough to have total faith in, but not bad enough to write of yet.

PS...For everyone saying we over paid for Canty...How is Ware doing with sacks so far? It seems now teams can double him & don't have worry bout the 6-7 monster in the middle anymore.Looks like he played a bigger part in ur D then most of u thought.

We knew what he meant to the D, but apparently JJ didn't want to dig deep into his piggybank. What can you do?

well when you cant really point to a particular player or group of players as the problem then its usually a problem with the scheme or coaching/playcalling. sure you could take the easy out and say romo stinks, but that wont explain the good/great games he has.

If he's gonna insist on throwing to covered receivers then maybe they need to either simplify things or flat out tell him who to throw too or throw it away if he cant duck and run. admit im no lombardi but seems like at this point ya either hafta give him instructions he can folow, or get a better qb that can improvise against the better teams and its a lil too late to do that or replace the coaches this year.

Maybe they should get him one of those picture playbooks like that QB from SF has. All I know is you stick with what works until it doesn't and then change it to something else that works, and so on until you win the game. Seems easy enough?
