Vikings-Packers; This will be a game of early jitters by both QB's I think. Should not take long to figure out who wins this one. The first score, complimented by some tough defense by either team, will probably decide this one. Packers run defense is very suspect. Peterson could have a huge night. That would be enough for the old gunslinger to get the Vikings to 4-0.

I can see AP getting some big runs and the screens to Harvin would stop that rush to the QB,Taylor and Shiancoe need to step up too

Very well stated OldBull... Very well stated... Our OL will need their best game this Monday to insure the QB stays where we need him for the entire game and season alike.. Maybe we can get a big enough lead and put in our back-ups??? Just a thought... SKOL VIKES!!!

BJD: the entire WORLD knows why Turd didn't want him playing for Minnesota!
MP: well, I agree in that they have to do a better job in protecting him. Perhaps after that last second winning drive (not a lucky pass, by the way, but spot on immediately where it HAD to be to win), the O line will begin to understand that the 'enemy' teams are being coached to take him out. Yea, in some ways, seeing him the greater threat than AP. Seriously, think about it. The Viks WITHOUT a steller QB are a known factor and, if you were the opposing team, wouldn't you rather play against AP (tough enough as that is) 'alone', without also the threat of Brett looming behind him? OK, here;s how I see it: Dan Marino was, what... 42 when he retired? A month shy of 42? And didn't we watch Warren Moon, in purple, playing LIVE on his 45th birthday? As for Brett... I recall the media always talking about him being the LEAST 'damaged' QB, far as injuries went. SO, just saying, here... AP is the best of the best, but he's not likely going anywhere and, if you can effect the removal of only ONE of them... it would appear, as likely as not, that Brett would be seen as the 'weakest' link to be excised from the team. My point? If I'm coaching against the Vikings and CAN take someone out of the game... Favre seems the likeliest choice to me, vs AP. Yep, hope they start respecting his age, and protect him a bit better. However, he's no shrinking violet, and some pain and bruises are but to be expected, and I've no doubt but that he can take them in his stride. My fear is just that, now, it's an all out intentional PERMANENT debilitating injury teams are playing him for. And while I cannot blame anyone for doing their damndest to putting him down with pain... it's rather disgusting thinking some shall be trying to do permanent, life long injury to the guy.

nice post old bull,,nice to know that there are good fans that see it from your point of view about Favre.Favre is a competitor,,he thought he was too old or couldn't do "it" anymore and everyone kept asking him if it would be his last year,,,he would say it was and then after being off a month or so felt that "fire" again and wanted to play,,GB got tired of it with no respect for his position as their leader so they said "we don't want you here so you are released upon the condition you don't go to the Vikes",,well,,,now he is here, right where they didn't want him to be and playing good enough to be 3-0 with a good team,,wonder why GB didn't want him in Minnesota ?? hhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

From an organizational stand point, I have no clue if getting rid of him was good, or bad. However, I knwo it was pretty damned sleezy how they did it... and I'm talking about the underhanded crap Turd T was dumping on Brett years before the final straw snapped... while it will be a VIKING TEAM victory, should they win... truth is, and not taking anything away from the Vikings... it WILL be a Brett vindication and, as such, with some dignity, I truly hope he wins gracefully. Somehow that man became the oconoclastic FACE of the NFL (and certainly for the Packers). Who'd have THUNK... that the fan base of the GB Packers, much less the CITY of GB itself... would allow him to be so disparagingly tossed aside like last weeks meatloaf?! Again, maybe getting rid of him wasn't a bad idea... even though I think it was... but they WAY it was done, doing their damndest to spin, twist, build HATE against him with the media, fans, etc... thank God, MOST TRUE PACKER FANS understand, and love the guy still, secretly rooting for him to win. Here's to you, Brett, and praying that you get yourself some dignity! Thanks for being the folk hero that you turned out to be.
