I couldn't agree with you more Targash. All Crabtree is doing is hurting his reputation as a good receiver. Now teams will see for next year, if he sits out this year, is that if they don't give him the money he wants, he will sit out AGAIN. I'm tired of players who are getting picked in the top 10 demanding all this money and they haven't even participated in training camp yet, let alone played a down in a REAL NFL game and get hit by a REAL NFL player. The NFL NEEDS to come up with a salary cap for rookies. These guys will be making more money than they ever have. So, why not just sign for league minimum until you can redo your intial contract. If my memory serves me correct, the greatest wide receiver in history, Jerry Rice, didn't demand a big contract when he was drafted. He did his work on the field and let that be his argument for a bigger contract when it was time. Then he kept re-negotiating his contract to keep good players on the team. That makes a great player, one who thinks about the team, not about himself.
SO, CRABTREE , SHRINK YOUR HEAD AND SIGN A CONTRACT AND GET YOUR BUTT IN CAMP AND START YOUR NFL CAREER.
