The Cleveland Browns from that era were the greatest NFL Dynasty EVER.

The Cleveland Browns began play in 1946 as a charter member of the league known as the AAFC (All-American Football Conference). They won the Championship in 1946, 1947, 1948, and 1949. The AAFC dissolved after the 1949 season, due largely to the Browns' absolute domination of the league.

The Browns' first NFL game was against the two-time defending champion Philadelphia Eagles. The overwhelming consensus at the time was that the Eagles would blow the Browns off the field; there were still many who thought the Browns were merely the dominant team in a minor league.

However, the Browns were determined to prove they belonged. They shredded the Eagles' vaunted defense for 487 yards of total offense en route to a 35-10 blowout and advanced to the NFL Championship game in every season of their first 6 years in the League, winning 3 times.

Within their first 10 years of existence, the Browns reached the title game every year (four in the AAFC, six in the NFL) and won seven of them, 4 AAFC Championships and three NFL Championships - 1950, 1954 and 1955.

Paul Brown's 48 Browns 15-0 with QB Otto Graham (arguably the best at his position ever) ; Marion Motley, Lou "the Toe" Groza, Lou Saban, Mac Speedie.

They were 27-0-2 beginning in Oct '47 and 52-4-3 in the AAFC. Drew 83K to their championship game and basically forced the NFL to merge them in, just like the AFL in the 69 Super Bowl. Guess the 72 Dolphins wouldn't count either if Broadway Joe hadn't done in the Colts a few years before and forced that merger too:D

So sick of all the media bullsh*t; the talking heads are all nuskool, KNOW YOUR HISTORY!!
Go Big Blue!!!! Like Coughlin's tee shirts. PLAY THE GAME!!!
