Good list, but I'd take Curtis Martin off the list. He was never a dominant back, jus consistent.

1)Jim Brown
2)Sweetness
3)Barry Sanders
4)Marshall Faulk (Reciever/runner)
5)O.J.
6)Emmitt Smith
7)Earl Campbell
8)LT (will move up as time goes on)
9)Eric Dickerson
10)Gale Sayers (dominant, but too short a career)

I like that list. The only thing I would change is I would put Emmit above Dickerson, and Payton above Sanders. And I think LT might have to be 10th. Its hard for me to accept Barry as number 3 only because he left the game so early.

Maybe LT already deserves to be on the all-time list. I just cant bump Gale Sayers from the bottom of my short list. I struggled between Tony Dorsett, Sayers and LT. That's the tough spot to fill - #10. It eliminates a lot of great players. My list:

Top 10 Running Backs All-Time

1) Jim Brown
2) Barry Sanders
3) Walter Payton
4) Eric Dickerson
5) Emmitt Smith
6) O.J. Simpson
7) Marshall Faulk
8) Curtis Martin
9) Earl Campbell
10) Gale Sayers
