did the niners play this year? are u kidding me? mayn.. well since the season is over and SF did make LARGE strides to becoming a stronger team.. lemme give u a bit of insight...
in the past 2 months.. san francisco has picked up 7 free agents.. maybe u have heard of a few of these names.. nate clements/bills.. micheal lewis/ eagles... abrayo franklin/ravens... Tully Banta-cain/pats..colby bockwoldt/titans... ashley lelie/falcons.. and the most recent on the 2nd day of the draft we picked up Darrell Jackson/seahawks..
so now the defense is set right?? NOOOO!!! we went into the draft and picked 6 defensive players.. 3 offensive players..
so if u think they didnt play at all last year.. ohh mayn have they really stepped their game up this year.. they will be contenders for the crown definatly this year!!!!
GO NINERS! AND FOR ALL OF U THAT ARE READING THIS. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY POST I DID TODAY!! I THINK U WILL AGREE WITH WHAT IM SAYING!

The Niners will win the West next year, and likely a playoff game as well. Mike Nolan and Scot McCloughan have really done an excellent job in reviving this team from the dead. This team swept seattle last year, should've swept the rams, and should've won a couple of home games against the cards and the buttpackers later on in the year. They added some quality players in free agency and are likely to add even more quality players in the draft. They'll be a lot better this next season than they were this past season. They should win the west when it's all said and done.

Man R U a bone head. The 49ers are clearly a team on the rize. They kicked the crap out of Denver at home to end the season and have made huge strides to improve there defence through free agency. Oh, wait do you even know anything about football? Oh wait your a NYY baseball fan that explains everything. Nevermind. >LOL!

Anyone with half a brain can see the 49ers made strides down the stretch and then finished off Denver in Denver. Add the free agency pickups on defense and you can see the 49ers are building in the right direction. All we need now is a #1 explosive wide receiver (not sure about Lelie) for Alex Smith and an explosive blue collar linebacker. I think the draft will be the place for both of these. If the offense stays on track and improves then it is going to be a great year.

Were you even watching this year? This team made huge strides this year compared to the previous year. Alex Smith was like night and day this season compared to his rookie season. Frank Gore not only gave this team a running threat but allowed the team to finally unload Kevin Barlow. The team still has it's weaknesses. Especially at the reciever position and the defensive line but with the extra draft picks and the extra money under the salary cap they can now get the personnel they need to take this team to the playoffs. Remember Bill Walsh went 2-14 and 6-10 his first two seasons. Then he had that amazing draft where he drafted Ronnie Lott, Carlton Williamson, and Eric Wright and then brought in players like Fred Dean, Dwight Hicks and Hacksaw Reynold to take the team to a 13-3 record and a super bowl. Just like this team he had some talent but needed to get the pieces to round out the team. The 49ers are headed in the right direction and all of the fans are excited about next year and the strides the team will take in the near future.
