JettaGLI1976]the REFS in general favored the steelers most of the game...to many bad calls....harrison shoulda been ejected for punching a card player in the back several times on kick coverage....but NO...only a penatly..they'd hate to see the underdog win:mad:

1. Al Haynesworth
2. Uhh, that happened last year....yuh know, the underdog giants. Don't tell anyone....but they beat the UNDEFEATED pats. Your statements are insulting, and without any basis.
3. And if I recall, eagle fans thought they should've won against the cards, and thought they were on the end of a "wrong call". By the way, they happen to EVERY nfl team....EVERY year. Deal with it...the Steelers won fair and square. The cards had their chance to make another comeback..and did not. Their defense let them down at a crucial moment. Don't blame the Steelers for a lack of defense by the wrote:

maybe if you would know the rules of football you would know that a penalty such as a hold in your own endzone, results in a safety. That was a great call. BR was not in on that touchdown they got that call right. The refs favored the steelers big time. First of all the interception return to the 1 yard line was not a touchdown. He was clearly down at the 1. Next Warner's arm was moving forward which means incomplete pass. So another chance to get to the end zone with fitz, and boldin. not impossible to score from the 50 with those wrs.

[hl=yellow]With all those crappy calls i really wonder if the best team won.

And Al Haynesworth never kicked a Dallas player laying on the ground in 2006? Get real....Go Steelers! And oh by the way, we call your thoughts sour grapes.

mightymex73]Lets see favoring. Hartwig holding call was the right call but analyst say it is rarely called who got two points and the ball back in that situation the cards. Another blown call was when Harrison returned the ball for a TD. Fitzgerald was running down the sideline out of bounds and even grabbed Harrison while he was still out of bounds an illegal play and no flag. Analysts went through the calls the only call they questioned was the hit on the holder which did not even make a difference steelers still only got three. As for Harrison even if he would have been ejected would have not made a difference in the game. Also if you look at review on Warners fumble defensive player had his hand on the ball before Warners arm started going forward replay booth confirmed call was a fumble and even Warner didn't complain like he did when call was reversed earlier. You tell me one analyst who said it should have been a fumble then I will start to think it might have been.

Fitzgerald was in-bounds when he started the tackle, and he was not the first person to touch him so it was legal. that wasn't a touchdown however. Harrison's arm was down prior to the ball crossing the plain. And if even if you do call Fitz for illegal touching, what about the 3-4 blatant blocks in the back during the return, or Warner getting thrown out-of-bounds?

And if you trust john madden you have p wrote:

The Cardinals put up a hell of a fight and deserved to win, but to say they got robbed by the refs and the Steelers were favored is just homerism at its finest. If the refswere favoring the Steelers both reversals wouldn't have happenned. They would have let the holding in the endzone go, they would have called Fitz for going out of bounds and making a tackle, and they wouldn't have made the false start call on Hartwig when it was clear he didn't move. As far as Santonio's catch, they replayed it from every angle. I watched every post game show from ESPN to NFL Network and they all said it was a clear catch. And for the last fumble, look at it again. Warners arm is about to go forward when Woodley makes contact with the ball. The ball turns sideways and is out of Warners hand. His hand can push it forward all he wants but if he doesn't have control of the ball, its still a fumble.

Overall, still one of the best Super Bowls I've seen. Hopefully we'll do it again in Miami next year.

LOL, as an unbiased dude, the refs were favoring the Steelers. That said, the better team won the game, and should be congratulated.
