Mr Hunt was larger than life! A true pioneer to the NFL, and all of it's players. You can easily look and see this expressed with the players his Kansas City Chiefs fielded year after year. A real mover and shaker of the game, he set one of the best, if not the best examples of how the new owners could and should be running their teams, while at all times keeping the respect of the players. He will be missed, but his family should not mourn his passing, but celebrate his life, because, Mr Hunt would tell you, he was a human being first, then a football team owner. He loved all people and it showed!

When I was still with the Jackson Co sherrif's dept., I was working off duty at Arrowhead stadium, I was fortunate enough to meet Mr Hunt at that time and I was struck by how gracious and warm he was, I never forgot how he asked if we were warm enough or needed something to drink as we were doing our patrol duties while a concert was being setup. To this end I would like to express my condolences to the Hunt family and say how much Mr Hunt will be missed and apprieciated not only by Kansas City, but by someone who viewd him as a wonderful person.
Deepest Sympathy,
Michael D Maxwell
