Then you will have to explain why Cutler's agent was involved in these meetings and the first thing that Cook wanted to talk about was contract. This was according to 9News. Cutler and his agent would not get into anything else. These facts about Cook wanting to re-do the contract were mentioned by the Denver Post several times in the fall. Listening to Jim Rome the other day, he said Denver got a great deal considering Cutler put a gun to Denver's head. I see both sides as having a part in this. I know you hate and fully blame Mc Daniels. I am a Bronco fan. I did not see this coming. I was pumped for FA to rebuild the defense and the draft to continue that process. I was excited and now I am holding judgement on this next season. I think that if Denver drafts well, I will be more optimistic than most. I followed Chicago pretty close last year and watched a few games. Orton at times looked better than Cutler. I'm not saying he is better. I think both teams got great deals. Chicago has a good QB. I hope he does well and may be happy there. He was not happy last year and even more unhappy when Bates was let go. He got his way and I hope it works out. For Denver, considering the situation, this was a good deal. They got another QB. They have now 5 picks in the first 84. This can be used to re-build the defense and most mock drafts show this happening. Now Denver has 2 picks next year to pick up a potential frnachise QB. While the picks may not be high, they can be packaged to move up the draft. Without seeing the new schemes and the chemisty of the team, it is impossible to say Denver will be better. It is also impossible to say that they have no hope.
