Elway was and will be one of the GREATEST QBs to ever play the game. No questions. It wasn't because he played crappy the first 3 quarters, the defense would fall apart.

Ive been a Bronco maniac since the days before Mile High,. I remember guys like Marlon Brisco, I remember Craig Morton, but no one, did more for the Broncos than John Elway. Not only was he physically gifted, but his commitment to the Denver area, and his willingness to do anything he could to turn the Broncos into winners and put the team on his back, He did. You're right, they have not been the same since, but guys like elway don't come down the draft line everyday. Thanks John. PS. You got to be involved in the Front Office somewhere.... Please?

John Elway was in my opinion the best QB to ever lace em up.I watched all those games as any true Bronco fan did and i saw him make some unbelieveable plays.There are few quarterbacks in history with his stats,not to mention that we won 2 super bowls back to back with his lead, so those of you who talk s#** dont know s***!

I think the criticism of John Elway is over stated....his skill was not overrated. He was vindicated after he retired. The Broncs have not risen to the occasion since. I think the statement that he won games by himself is more than correct.

Did you watch those 3 SB's? They lost because they had a bad defense in all 3 of those losses. Elway wasn't out there defending against all those td passes thrown by Montana, Doug Willimas ( who set a SB 1 qtr record against their D ) and Phil Simms.
