The Saints issue on defense the last few seasons has always been depth. If every starter is healthy, they are pretty good, but there's a big dropoff when backups are forced in by injuries. Most of the starters Peyton picked up were backups on other teams where there wasn't as much difference between the starters and backups. You should use your whole draft on defense and 1 rb. You just dont have any quality depth on the D side. That was an excellent signing getting Darren Sharper.

Right now a GOOD defensive coordinator is more important than another corner. There have been to many good players that get crossed up on defensive call. That is a sign of bad coaching. If one guy constantly gets beat, it's his fault. If the whole def. backfield gets crossed, that's coaching.
