I, for one, am sorry to see Deuce go.. Wonder where the Saints would be today, had they not "taken a chance" on Brees? Although, I do understand that everyone gets hurt and people get older...... Deuce will be sadly missed by this Saints fan!

Not sure what your gettin at Gumbo? Nobody disrespected Deuce, we're all just posting our opinions. No one is wrong or right. However hours later after your post, our man was released just like most of us thought. I consider myself a true Saints fan and I'm sad to see him go. I wish he'd stay and coach but he's still got the itch to play. I think if he does find a new team, one year away from HOME will wake him up and he'll realize where he really belongs.

through every injury the deuce has been able to snap back unlike the other 80 to 90% of RB in his field. true fans do your homework before you put him out the door. many have been traded base on opinions just like yours and you, yes you still have not admitted you were wrong.[hl=red][/hl]

OrigSaintsFan]If the Saints would like to move forward in the NFC standings in the upcoming years, Duece will play a much more valuable role than the East-West Bush. Duece has proven that he can plow straight ahead for much needed yardage as opposed to EAST-WEST Bush who needs to swing every play to the sidelines.
I am pulling for Duece's return and Bush's exit.

Deuce has been great but who will take him with both knees having been operated on? I hope he makes the decision to retire as a Saint. He can still be important to the saints in PR.

I'm a big Duece fan but to get rid of bush and keep duece would be like trying to replace gumbo with chicken soup. If he tries to come back, he needs to start working on rehabing like asap! He really looked like a player ready too quite in his last few games. I really hope he retire or get in to super great shape.

This post wasn't meant to upset anyone about Deuce. It's just a question to see where people stand.

Plain and simple...........Is this it for Deuce as a Saint? Should he retire on a high note or get released and see where life takes him. I'm not sure anyone would pick him up as a free agent, but in my opinion he should call it quits and walk away as a Saint and one of our most beloved players of all time. Cheers Deuce, it's been a great career, time to go to pasture my friend!
