You are right about the whole underachieving thing. They certainly don't take the Texans seriously, and if del rio thinks he can just take it easy on these lesser tier teams, it's gonna bite him hard this year, especially if they don't make the playoffs.
As I said before, this is a make or break year for jacksonville. If they don't make the playoffs, del rio is gone and this team will be set back. They NEED a good year this year. Period.

Dude, go to hell. I'm sick of your stupid crap. Reggie Williams has underachieved for being a top 10 pick. Matt Jones has also underachieved for being a first round pick. Their career numbers are far below first round pick standards, and I won't bother looking up stats. I rarely look up stats when making just a frickin' post. Geez. And as for 2006 first rounder Marcedes Lewis, 13 catches in your rookie year is also big time underachievement for a first rounder. How's that stat for ya you gay piece of garbage? The fact that Jacksonville also brought in TE Jermaine Wiggins COULD spell bust for Lewis in a year or so if things don't turn for the better. I THINK George Wrightster saw more playing time than Lewis. Not good for Marcedes.
Quit harassing me you loser. Find something better to do with your darn time. Let me post in peace. Sheesh, this is an wrote:

gontiergrace]Head coach Jack Del Rio has named Byron Leftwich the starter for the 2007 season. Leftwich played in only six games last year before suffering an ankle injury. David Garrard will go back to being the backup.

This upcoming year is a make or break year for both leftwich AND coach del rio. this is leftwich's last year on his rookie deal and del rio will enter the upcoming year on the hot seat. If Leftwich continues to underachieve for being such the high pick that he was, he probably will be let go, and if jacksonville misses the playoffs, del rio will likely get canned.

Jack has to find a way for his team to play better on the road and against the texans, of all teams. For whatever reason, the texans have had their number in del rio's tenure and with tennessee on the rise and possibly houston too, jacksonville could find itself in the AFC South basement next year. Maurice Jones-Drew was certainly an outstanding player for them, but Reggie Williams continues to disappoint and Matt Jones hasn't really impressed me all too much for being a first rounder. These guys need to justify why they were drafted so high and that D has gotta stay healthy, especially peterson and hayward. Injuries to them didn't help. Having them both back would really be a benefit.

Overall, a changing of the guard as far as who finishes where behind indy in the south could be a coming. Tennessee really has something going on with vince young and the texans seem to be headed in the right direction with a better coach and a better GM. The competition is heating up, and jacksonville needs to heat up their game as well. They have the talent to do it, but if they don't make the playoffs this upcoming year, expect some serious changes to come about.

I like the jaguars, because I love teams with a tough defense that can run for a million yards against people, but the jaguars are the definition of underacheiving. They totally phoned in a couple games and, despite having a rediculously solid defense they could have taken deep into the playoffs, finished 8-8. They also need WRs even more than the F wrote:
