Funny ESPN reported on May 14 that Favre had consulted with Andrews regarding his arm and the surgical and non-surgical options. The St. Paul Pioneer Press reported on May 18 that Favre was having surgery by Andrews that week; a source told ESPN that no surgery was scheduled. The specific date of Favre's recent surgery is unknown, except that it occurred last month.
Hope this works

I agree with your point of, If we were in his shoes. The part that bothers me is that I thought he respected the Green Bay fans more than this. My self I'm 33 now and if you do the math thats alot of years of Brett as your team's QB. I thought of this man as a role model on and off the field through good times and bad. The more I wathch this mans actions the more I understand T. Thompsons reasoning to rebuild. I just hope Brett really figures it out while us fans of his still can forgive and not every bridge has been burned. I was just as upset as anyone with his departure from G.B. , As I thoght they were so close in his last year. In closing I enjoyed what you had to say and agree with most of it.

The greatest Basketball player of all time Michael Jordon came back twice and no one hated MJ for it. So shouldn't Favre get the same respect, he only is the all time leader in every major passing statistic.
Favre retired when he felt he was unwanted by the packers and still thought he wanted to play football so he returned to the jets. Then his shoulder hurt and not wanting to play for the jets again (who could blame him) Brett retired again. Well that loophole of being realised by the jets, allowed him to play for the vikings who he wanted to play for if he couldnt be a packer. Let him play who cares, for all the people bothered by the coverage STOP WATCHING/READING IT. Not hard ESPN has a 5 minute piece on Favre, change the channel. Link to a story about Favre, heres an idea DONT click on it.
I totally agree SuperRad.... I truly believe Favre was hurting the final month of last season, which is a completely different situation than the one he faced in GB. He knew GB didn't want him. The difference this year is, (not sure on this fact, but pretty sure) Favre didn't "retire" this year (no papers filed). Favre I believe felt was done this year because of his injury. Then out of no where, Jets release him, Vikings pursue him, yet Favre's the bad guy here. I don't hold it against him for at least pursuing his options.

Reasonable people...do reasonable things. Ever heard of the 'boy who cried wolf'? How MANY times do you tell your employer you're retiring...and change your mind...before YOU take ownership for the consequences? 1? 2? 3? 4? 5? How many?
Brett was/is a great quarterback. Rubbing his former team-mate's and fan's noses in his sophomoric response to get back at the GM of the Packers...speaks volumes about who he is off the field.
IF he ever returns to Lambeau in another teams uniform...soley to quench his thirst for revenge....I'd never retire his number if I were the Packers. This is ALL about Brett....there's no I in TEAM..
I read somewhere that the "majority" of fans lauded Favre for 16 plus years for his love of the game!! Now those exact people that lauded him are condemning him for his love of the game!! The Packers didn't want him, the Jets released him, now the Vikings are the ones pursuing Favre and it's suddenly Favre's fault?? Hypocrisy at it's best.... But then maybe these are the same people who let others dictate how to live their lives.... If you had a second chance to do the one thing you loved to do the most in the world, would you let others tell you "NO"? Who is Favre hurting here?? Give the guy a break... nobody wants to watch something they love come to an end. Retirement is all but certain within a year or two for Favre, so cut him a break!
