I guess I'm just getting old,,,in the good old days there was loyalty to your team,,now it's all about the money and if I don't get what I want I go somewhere else,,,maybe that's why there isn't the dynasties anymore,,any team can come out of nowhere and win it all,,NE had a good run,but I think they bought those with some good players.Right now I don't see any team with DYNASTY written all over them

The December games at the Met were as bad as it got in the NFL. I always thought it looked worse tha Lambeau, although the differences were probably slight.

wurkerbee,,I remember those days well,,how about playing outside in the old Metropolitan in Minnesota late December,,Bud Grant on the sideline with just a sport jacket on and the players wearing no sleeves,,you don't have games or players like that anymore,,it's a me generation and money thing these days,,everything else is secondary.I'm sure every player isn't that way today,,but those agents are brainwashing as many as they can

yeah, it's a different time for sure. to use the broken nose example, look no further than Don Meredith. Had his nose broken 9 different times in games and finished every one of them. Used to be a familiar sight of Meredith on the sidelines getting cotton packed up his sinuses to stop the bleeding so he could get back in. In fact, one of those was against Green Bay. I always thought Meredith was the toughest qb who ever played, as far as being able to take a beating and get back up. It was a badge of honor in those days. The only game he was ever knocked out of in his entire career was his final game. Unfortunately, he paid a price for that in his later years. He is having a lot of trouble these days remembering things.

Absolutely,. If a quarteback can find solice in his ball club to not play with a broken pinky on his throwing hand for 3 weeks with the consistent slide in ranking among the division. I deem him and that organization WEAK. If a quarterback cannot handle the scrutiny of his fan base because of a consistent losing streak and has to take a break from the starting spot he is a pussy. People, this is football. If your concerned about insignifigant harm to your body over the wellfare of your teams placement in this business, GET OUT OF THE GAME. I am sick of the over regulation that involves 100% physical and mental abuse of it"s players on every level except the little fairy throwing the ball. Of course your going to get hurt. IT"S FOOTBALL DEAL WITH IT. Do you think for 1 second Terry Bradshaw thought about benching himself because somebody in the game had broken his nose?
