What is TED THOMPSON HIDING? Apparantly, Mr Jones got fired for some type of criminal act within the organization. Since the Share Holders meeting is coming up, can someone PLEASE ASK WHY and what he did to get FIRED?

IF THE PACKERS DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO HIDE, WHY NOW, A YEAR LATER, ARE THE PACKERS STILL AFRAID TO SAY WHAT KIND OF ILLEGAL ACTIVITY JOHN JONES DID TO GET FIRED!?

DID HE TAKE THE FALL FOR THE ENTIRE CORRUPT ORGANIZATION WHO QUIETLY HAVE BEEN CAUGHT POCKETING MONEY FROM THE ORGANIZATION, AND/OR THE ILLEGAL EXCLUSIVE CONFLICT OF INTEREST CONTRACTS THE SITTING BOARD MEMBERS HAVE, OR WAS IS BECAUSE EACH OF YOUS RESOLD ALL THE BEST SEATS TO EACH AND EVERY GAME TO TICKET BROKERS AND POCKETED THE MONEY? OR WAS IS THAT YOU'S HAVE BEEN SWAPPING CONTROLLING SHARES OF THE PACKERS TO ONE FAMILY? SURE, IT'S NOT OWNED BY ONE PERSON, BUT THE SITTING BOARD MEMBERS OWN 75% OF THE ENTIRE STOCK. WE KNOW THAT EACH PERSON CAN ONLY OWN UP TO LIKE 7% STOCK, BUT THEY YOUR WIFES OWN 7%, AND THEN YOUR KIDS CAN EACH OWN 7%... SO IT ONLY TAKES LIKE 2 FAMILIES TO REALLY OWN THE CONTROLLING STOCK OF THE TEAM....

The Packer organization today is just a corrupt as they were last year.. Later this month at the shareholders meeting, who has be guts to ask the team of a complete breakdown of the top 10% shareholders and you will physically see that the team is over 50% owned by it's sittng board members.... So look at the contracts and you'll see each sitting board members personal business has exclusive contracts within the Packer organization, which should be a crime in itself, because they approve their own contracts, and get financially compensated because they are sitting board members...

So Packer organization, why are you still hiding why Jones was FIRED? It rasies lot's of questions, so if your not hiding anything, why not tell us... Looking back, the Packers budget was the lowest in the NFL the last years, so was Jones and others skimming money from the books and he got caught...:p

I again was asked to "tone down" my comments, but this is REALITY! How many other people see all the crime and underhandedness going on inside the Packer front door? How many people know why the Packers possibly allowed and approved contracts from it's board memebers and their businesses? Conflict of Interests or? What happens to the profit money they get back when they are selling game/playoff tickets using their ticket broker? Are the Packers afraid to announce that they actually got busted and why Jones was forced to step down instead of being fired? If they say he was fired, you'd know something was wrong, so what are they COVERING UP by not giving a reason why Jones WAS FIRED? Nothing to hide hey? Most HONEST people are not affraid to talk, but this organization doesn't, and ARE HIDING SOMETHING! :0

It's a crime what TT and MM are doing to the team. For the Packers to move forward, they are the weak links that need to step down. It's ashame they never once in years said publicly that Brett is needed or wanted in GB.. Bet ya they only get 2 wins next year...

It was pretty clear that Thompson and Sherman were not on the same page whatsoever....Thompson could see the team was totally devoid anything resembling depth...and Sherman always thought they were one player away from the Super Bowl.

Wurker...I'm guessing its some sort of Mike Sherman fan.....there are a lot of people here who (misguidingly, imho) think Thompson is doing a crappy job. To the contrary, I think he's done a fantastic job realigning the depth of the team.

However, the anti-Thompson crowd is pretty vocal....and when Sherman got let go...there was a whole lot of screaming and yelling by those people who, for some dumb reason, didn't agree with his release. Those same people seem to get on the case of Harlan and the mgmt whenever they spend "dead" money.

Basically...its a bunch of whiners who think they could do a better job running a business than those trained to do so.

Simply put...this is all a big to-do about next to nothing. Corporate executives are let go every day across this country.....many with mugh higher packages than what Jones is getting. If he's getting what his contract called for, and that's it....the Packers got off pretty good actually. Normally there are penalty clauses in these things to protect the individuals, because when they do get let go in this fashion, other people are less inclinded to hire them. Look at the CEO of Home Depot....if you want to complain about someone....complain about that guy...they hated how he did his job, couldn't stand him personally and STILL paid him $25M to leave. Jones isn't getting anything close to that.

The stock is a non-issue as well. When they had the last stock sale, it was presented exactly as it supposed to be....non-dividend earning, with little to no voting rights, no cash value, and no season ticket priveledges. If you bought it, and didn't read the prospectus...is that the team's fault...or yours? I bought one share...simply to help the team, and say that, no matter how infantile, I own a part of my favorite team. It was a choice I made....not something forced upon me, or anyone else.
