THE PIRATES WERE IN ST. LOUIS FOR A SERIES BACK IN THE EARLY SEVENTIES.WHEN THE GUNNER HAD TIPPED TOO MANY IRON CITY'S,AND THE GUNNER JUMPED OUT OF A TWO STORY WINDOW AT THE CHASE PARK PLAZA HOTEL INTO THE SWIMMING POOL.THAT WAS THE OLD GUNNER............STARGELL WAS UP TO BAT ONE NIGHT AND GUNNER SAID IF WILLIE HOMERED HE WOULD GIVE EVERYONE FREE CHICKEN FROM HIS RESTURANT UP ON THE HILL.WILLIE DID HOMER AND PEOPLE POURED INTO THAT PLACE.ONLY THING WAS WILLIE NEVER SAID THAT BUT WILLIE PAYED OFF ANY WAY LOL.
