Kudos to Mr. Goodell, indefinent suspension and a wonderful display of what happens when you cross the line with the commissioner.

This isn't the NHL or Nascar when penalties vary depending on the star status of the player or driver involved.

:( wow Charlie, well put!

I pomise, if I had killed someone while driving drunk, 15 years is the MINIMUM I would have spent in jail!

sorry to hear about yoiur friends tragic death. I pounded into my childrens head, if ANYONE pulls a gun at a friends house, LEAVE IMMEDIEATLY. and tell them why you are leaving. there is no such thing as innocent fun with a gun!

Why is driving a car over someone less severe than shooting them? When a person dies during a felony offense it shouldnt be lessoned by it being a drunk driver. I had a friend in high school who for the first time in his life was drinking and playing with a hand gun. Thinking the gun was empty, decided to play cops and robbers and the end result was a death. Alcoholwas the instigator but life in prison was the end result. I guess he should have gotten behind the wheel and he would have lived a normal life. I do understand mistakes happen and lives are lost but what makes a death less, being drunk and driving? The dead person is still dead in both cases but one wasn't a football player. The NFL removed Mickeal Vick for dog fighting why should anyone with a vehicular homicide be even thinking he will be back. But Leonard Little walked right back into the NFL. I believe in second chances. Mr Stallworth accepted full responsibility for his actions. Now only he can prove to the millions of football fans that he is worthy to come back. I think with his money and stature he could help others from preventing this tragedy from one person would be enormous. I think we all know that football players have a short window of playing years. How can we accept Mr Stallworth back into a community of idols our children look up to without him going above and beyond to show his true sorrow. Maybe buy air time during key football games and showing all drivers what drinking and driving can do. Superbowl air time is very expensive but how much is a life worth? Mr Commissioner you hold the cards. Show americans that not just the football community is important but each and every life is. In every situation there is a marter. You can bet that if it was Peyton Manning he would already be on TV telling his story to prevent a tragedy of this nature from happening again. He is only human so lets hear from Mr Stallworth! Show us you care and we will back you!
