Quinn hasn't shown any skills that Anderson doesn't have. Ok he can run faster, but then again he doesn't carry around a cannon for an arm either.

Basically, with Quinn you have an above average athlete, but an untested NFL quarterback

Anderson on the other hand is an above average athlete, but a veteran of the NFL. He is still young, controls the game well, and can rifle the ball with incredible accuracy to anyone, anywhere on the field.

If the Browns could give a QB time to settle in the pocket, a decent running game, and a defense that occasionaly stops the other team, things would turn around fast.

The question between the two QB's is this. If you had a decent line, and they created the time to throw, who would you rather have in the pocket running the game.

Hands down Anderson is the easy choice.

I don't agree with the change in QB, I think Anderson based on last season alone has earned the right the QB this team. Anderson is not as terrible as everyone here and most boards seems to make him out to be. he won 10 games last season, he basically carried this team after coming off the bench in game 1. Did he have ups and downs? Yes, but every QB does. Expectations were high heading into this season primarily because it was thought that the browns finally had stability at the QB position.

Starting the season, you had a QB that missed the last 3 weeks of camp because of concussion, you had both receivers who missed most of camp, a 3rd out, Lewis was banged up and you in fact had more injuries to start the season than any other team. You open with Dallas, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore in 3 of the first 4 weeks, and you do that behind the 8 ball. I ill be the first to say Anderson's decision making has been questionable, but that can be corrected. It doesn't end there, the play calling and game planning has been terrible, and the play around him has been disappointing.

You lead the league as a team in dropped passes and dropped passes kill drives, kill momentum, squash opportunities, and put added pressure on a defense that's already struggling. The team was 3-5 through 8 games and easily could be 5-3 and possibly 6-2. If the team catches half the passes they dropped, that's the fine line between winning and losing. Clearly this team lacks depth, I put that on the GM. With that being said, as a coach you have to get the most out of what you have, and it starts with putting guys in the best possible position to have success. Its not that we don't have talent, its just that the talent isn't being used very well.

I say Anderson should have remained the starting QB unless he got hurt or the team got "officially" eliminated from the Playoffs. Losing to Baltimore made for a difficult task moving forward. Anderson isn't the blame for the loss, he had a lead, didn't add to the lead, but the defense relinquished it, and in the end Anderson couldn't pull it out. Denver was a game that had to be won. Personally, I think Anderson could have dropped 40 on them. I didn't agree with making the change, if ever there was a time to do so, this 3 game stretch right here is by far the browns easiest stretch. Quinn played decently, he completed a bunch of 5 yard passes that Denver allowed him to complete. Denver has a terrible defense and also had 4 starters out. He suffered the same fate Anderson had a week earlier.

The bottom line is, he didn't win. When he needed a yard most, he couldn't manage that 5 yard dump off. The bottom line is he loss and that was the one thing that couldn't happen in making the change. He did nothing to question him starting against Buffalo. He had a full week of reps and he flat out stunk. There were no complete all the 5 yard dumps offs, he had to earn everything, and even with the defense that had been so suspect for most of the season gave him 3 turnovers in the first quarter, and all he could manage was 2 FG's. You had to know Buffalo would bring pressure. Yes he made a few good throws and nice runs, but for the most part, his numbers didn't lie. The best he could do at a chance to win was get Dawson in position to attempt a 56 yard FG.

I believe in Anderson and doing so does not make me anti Quinn. Now you hear Quinn has a broken finger, and oh by the way it happened in the 1st quarter and later in the game. Now you have a hurt QB and yet in a must win game, after a terrible game, you're sending him back out there?? You have to win this game, you make the move back to Anderson and you let Quinn heal. Damn I can't believe I said all this, but I hope it makes sense. Go Browns!!

Benching DA tonight was just as effective as not having him in there. DA could have done dink/dunk passes.

wow.........u lucky fans that are close enough to get to Thursday's game.

It's about time the team started Quinn. Don't get me wrong, he may not do as well off the bench but gang, this guy will do more for the team's overall spirit than Anderson could have hoped for.

I really hope the kid does well and that the other Brown's fan come out and give him the support he needs to build his confidence up.

I'll be at the game in spirit at least......those of you that are lucky enough to see history in the making......cheer louder for me, will ya! :D

nowaywie]You Browns fans don't deserve a class act like DA. I hope your Bratty Queen starts and ends up being a bust. That's what you Browns fans deserve.
Meanwhile,DA will be somewhere other than your turd of a town, laughing at your futile attempts at being a contending football team.
You all are a bunch of ungrateful, spoiled jerks.

Ok Jesus, as your picture indicates. Your spending to much time praying for DA instead of watching his performance. Sure hes a class act but hes so freakin inconsistant you dont know which qb is going to show up. The good DA hasnt showed up through 5 out of the 8 weeks. You cannot have a inconsistent qb like anderson in there when you have a qb like quinn who should at least be given a chance. Hes your number one pick for gods sake! He might be the only player from the first round of the 07 draft who hasnt been given a chance to play.

Your a dumb piece of s*** who needs to pull his head out of his a** and realize the Browns need a consistent quart wrote:

I'm a huge Browns fan but I agree with you in a few ways. D.A. is awesome! but some of us do deserve him! I've been agitated about these people for Quinn for a long time. Quinn lost his chance when he held out for more money... it's his own damn fault... I've been trying to think of a rip on Quinn and I love your Brady Queen thing, hope you don't mind if I use it Go Browns

I'm not sure why you ladies are so into Quinn but right now he's holding a clipboard and doing a fine job of it! Guess he shouldn't have held out cause he might have earned it except he wanted more money. Too bad! Personally I hope he stays there because that means the Browns are winning and why would you girls bring up Crennel in a clipboard holder vs the starting QB D.A conversation...
