I don't think there is much chance that Troy Smith will ever play a down at quarterback for the ravens. I suppose it's possible they could wind up with both number 1 & 2 injured and have to call on him as an emergency QB who takes the snap and hands off. That's about the only future i can see for him. I would love to be proven wrong but it seems to me he is one of those guys who was drafted simply because they were surprised he was still on the board so late. its a bit like putting money down on a real long shot at the horse race tracks, you are almost sure the horse has no chance to win, but if he does you get a huge return on a very small investment.

I think he could take us far in the future. He has got speed and a good arm unlike Mike Vick he can throw it..I think he is a better version of Vick it will just take a few years of learning from McNair and he be set.
