Ravens always draft very well. Only draft picks i didnt like was Boller and the Ravens were OK with him. Your defense will be fine, and i like the suggestions. O line help is what you need. Perhaps Boller is learning from McNair kuz Boller has a lot of talent. Just needs to relax like my QB Grossman.

I agree with those players you mentioned. Blalock would probably be the best pick since he can play both guard and tackle. Rufus and woodley are good players too, and I like Dan Cody as well, their 2nd rounder from 2005. I'd like to see him show the world what he's got. He's got that intensity that well defines a raven defender. Whoever they draft, I think they'll do well. They had a good draft last year landing some instant impact players in landry, williams, and ngata, among others, and I expect no different this year.

I agree with NOT going after Troy Smith. Yes, he won the Heisman but, looking at his last two games he is not a good choice. I think his height is going to be an issue. He is good in a rolling pocket but has a hard time seeing past the line of scrimmage. There is only one 1/4back in the league under 6 feet, Seneca Wallace. Short 1/4backs are not really successful at this level.

The Ravens best bet would be to go & get one of these guys!
Justin Blalock - Texas
Ben Grubbs - Auburn
Aaron Sears - Tennessee
Joe Staley - Central Michigan

Then go after a Rufus Alexander or Lamarr Woodley in the second round! Some one that can turn somebody's lights out!! Ray's not gonna be here too much longer!! Bart is gonna need some help. They should also be thinking about unloading some of the dead weight like, Dan Cody love the guy, hell I love OU but, he has not played a down in his two years with the team. Hopefully he can come around. If he does the defense may be just as good as last year, even without AD!!!!!

Raven fan, listen to me very carefully.....it would be best for the ravens to STAY AWAY FROM TROY SMITH. I know he won a heisman and had a great TD to INT ratio his senior year. But his last 2 games have been marred by accuracy problems, most notably at the senior bowl. In the senior bowl, his o-line played outstanding, giving him incredible pass protection. With this protection, Smith was inaccurate. He overthrew some guys, one-hopped others, and almost got picked on one occasion. I would not waste a pick on this overrated QB. Drew Stanton would be a better pick than him. Stanton is probably the 3rd best QB in the draft behind russell and quinn. Chris Leak wouldn't be a good pick either. If the ravens draft a QB, it should be stanton or kevin kolb. trent edwards is an interesting prospect who's been hampered by injuries the last year or two. But STAY AWAY FROM TROY SMITH.

The RB position could be addressed in the draft. I don't expect Marshawn Lynch to fall to bmore in the first round, so you could see them take a guy like a brian leonard or a tony hunt or a darius walker, or even a kenny irons somewhere in the second or third round. I Don't quite know who they should take in the first round. They could go LB since Thomas appears to hit the market. O-line is a possibility since ogden is aging. I expect either the o-line or the defense to be addressed in the first round.

Baltimore has drafted pretty well. They got Ngata, Landry, and Demetrius Williams among others last year. Each player contributed nicely. I expect them to have another good draft this april.

Who do you guys think the Ravens will draft?I hope they go after Troy Smith since he can sit behind McNair for a few years and then, after being groomed by Billick and McNair, take over as the franchise QB... :) Although Chris Leak or Drew Stanton in the later rounds might be okay...
