seriously tho - the skins are playing teams really tough and close so don't think they are off by much. you guys get a coach and some cohesion on teh sidelines going and another draft pick or two and you could be right back in the thick of it.
congrats on a well played game skins - almost got it done again

I like the way your thinking Eagletide, Snyder might just be dumb enough to sign him only to bring more futility to Washington.

Jason Campbell can't read a defense fast enough. He resorts to throwing to checkdown. This problem stems from poor coaching(can't get plays on on time)He cant scramble very well.So when a defense knows this, you can't run the ball because there is no threat of longer passing game.If he gets time in the pocket he does ok,or hurry up offence then he knows he is gonna get some zone defenses.Unfortunately for the Skins,Colt Brennan went down.Todd collins is certainly not a savior. But we all know the biggest problem is the owner.Spurrier hiring, bringing back Gibbs,Jason Taylor fiasco, and the Zorn failure.Leave football operations to people who know the game.Last good football was Marty ball.

The Redskins main problem is a total lack of leadership.
Name me one player on the team, especially offense that has displayed any leadership ability. Remember the leaders of the past.
Art Monk : The quiet lead by example type
Darrell Green: 110% every single play
John Riggins and Dexter Manley: The rebels
Joe Theisman: Just his presence in the huddle inspired confidence.
The HOGS: Took pride in being the best

Now look what we have.
A QB that couldn't inspire the janitor to empty the trash. And doesn't seem to know that he can throw the ball to receivers more than ten yards downfield. And lord help us if he could hold onto the ball. (14 turnovers in 5 games)
Our top three running backs are retirement age. Why keep three 8 year veterans. We need some young legs back there. Mason should get more carries.
Santana Moss can be good at times, but takes too many plays off.
I know we have other WR's, but you wouldn't know it most games.
The offensive line, I know has some injuries, but they have not been any good the last five years. When you have to pass the ball on 3rd and 1 as often as they do, you know where the problem lies.

The one bright spot is London Fletcher.  He is having one heck of a season so far.

Dan Snyder is about on the same scale as Al Davis.  Therein lies your main problem with the Redskins.  hehehe
Here is to those that have gone before us and to those serving on the front lines to ensure our freedoms.

And this idea that colt is going to become anything other than another chad pennington is a joke. There's a reason he wasn't drafted on the first day, folks. Did Tom Brady get drafted in the first round? No. But he also didn't get to play. Brennan played for two years, broke records, and won games. And he still wasn't given a shot. Enough said.

Fact of the matter is Jim Zorn told the public that he could make Jason Campbell into a good quarterback. As much turnover as there is in this league, I don't worry too much about Campbell's future. He's a great kid with strong character who very well could be a good backup. But he's made more than the majority of all human beings ever will these past few years. He simply does not have what it takes to run an effective offense in this league. They've been making excuses for this kid long enough. It was a questionable draft pick(Only Joe Gibbs and the Redskins considered him a first day pick, much less a first rounder) and it didn't work out. You say, 'well, they didn't protect him.' This is the NFL. Coaches strategically look for every team's weakness, and then attacks it. We're a running oriented team, therefore our weakness is the quarterback. They blatantly force him to be the difference in the game. There are plenty of examples of quarterbacks in running systems that rose to the occasion. Ben Roethlisburger, Eli Manning, Joe Flacco, Terry Bradshaw, I could literally do this forever. Eventually, you have to play professional quarterback. We scored nine points against the rams. Our offensive line is terrible? take a look at the Packers' offensive line. They're much worse than the redskins' line. Now, look at the difference on the scoreboard between the rams-redskins game, and the rams-packers game. Now, maybe you say 'they have better receivers.' Really? Santana Moss has produced over and over and over again. Chris Cooley is almost always open. Antwaan Randle El is a deadly slot receiver. Can anyone name any Ravens' wide receivers? Joe Flacco probably can't, but he finds them when they're open. Are you really going to tell me that steve smith and mario manningham are better than moss and cooley/randle el? Are you really going to tell me Heinz Ward and Santonio Holmes are better receivers than moss and cooley/randle el? The defense has given Jason Campbell ample oppurtunity to succeed, and so has our offensive line. Is it really anyone else's fault but Campbell's that no one's ever seen him hit a pass longer than twenty yards before the fourth quarter, down by atleast seven, when their defenses are playing prevent? Come on, folks. He's an awesome human being, but this isn't a church. This is football. Zorn needs to go first and foremost, he's the one who said he could make this work. They already knew Campbell wasn't good enough. remember all the cutler and sanchez talk? get rid of them both.
